Early St. Pats.

I know we are a day away from March, but I thought while I had some time this morning I would go ahead and get some St. Pat's shots. I've been asked how long I will continue to purchase the "Festive" shirts and take pictures. I guess my answer is, "until they begin to argue!". This was a lot easier than the Valentine Day pics.

As you can tell I didn't argue with Conner on his choice where to wear his necklace. I thought to myself...that is just Conner so just snap and get it over with. Check out Quin's hairdo. While I was doing the morning wet down of the boys bed heads, he thought he needed something done with his so we spiked it up a little and he thought he was quite funny and cute I must say!

This is the serious side of Conner Bear...we don't see this face that much because he is a constant goofball.

Conner was also a bit upset when I got his shirt out and his was not green...due to the fact that is his favorite color (besides black and gold of course!). He soon got over and it and I told him if I saw a green shirt again I would pick one up for him. I didn't realize it was going to send him into a melt down.

Quin was all about the beads. He was shaking them and trying to steal everyone else's.
Well I hoping to make a promise to you my fellow blog followers and friends, that the month of March I am going to post one post a day. I know my friends have tried to do it for the whole year, but I have made the commitment to myself for the entire month of March. It may not be posted every day, but I will take pictures each and every day. My first day of March will be quite easy as we are headed to Matt & Quinn's for two of the Ruhl girls birthday parties tomorrow. So wish me luck and I would love to have comments to keep me motivated throughout the month!

Busy-As-Can-Be.

I'm really hoping this phase "too shall past" as they say. Quin is Master of Destruction right now. He is faster than a cat and into everything. On the other hand, he is good as gold and sweet as can be, but he really wears me out! He can empty the dishwasher faster than I can fill it, empty the vacuum bagless holder in a matter of seconds, take out 50 DVD's out of cases in record time, the list goes on and on. We really do watch him, but he has to be in constant eyesight at all times or you know you will be cleaning up one big mess!

Hopefully he will be an engineer one day, as he likes to take things apart and make sure they go back together just the way they were or he has a meltdown. He loves this truck that Conner received for Christmas and he has to make sure that each car is put in it just right. I just don't know where he gets is obsessive behavior from??

He finally got all his cars just perfect, now time to close it and dump it all over again.

Here he is just being a total clown. He does have the sweetest personality, but like I said..."this soon shall past".

House Full of Boys.

I finally gave in and let the boys have 2 friends over to play the other day after school. It seemed when I ran the daycare the last thing I wanted was anymore kids to come home with me! Both of their friends are also brothers (Cole & Caden) and the funny thing is, is that their family also also has 4 boys!!! Our town is definitely not lacking for dates in a couple of years. The boys had fun playing air hockey, dart tag, and a couple of board games. I'm sure now that I have given in once, I will have to do it more often now. I also watch a little boy every day that was not included in the picture so there were actually 7 boys total in the house at one time.

Of course they always want to do a "Funny Shot"!

Up to No Good.

We've had a rather relaxing week with not too much planned. Quin and Conner thinks it is fun to get in the laundry basket and either have Heath or one of the boys give them a ride. Luckily there wasn't any clothes in the basket when they found it. Sometimes I find all the clothes dumped to the side so they can hop in.

Quin's newest trick is climbing! He climbs up on everything. He actually made it back down to the chair at the computer when I caught him sitting up on the desk. He climbs the stairs faster than we can catch him and even loves to climb up on the entertainment center downstairs and just sit. He also has become our little stripper! He hates any clothes, socks, or anything that touches his body...gosh I hope he doesn't have some tactile problem. I have figured out he has to be put in jeans otherwise off they come!

Lucky Hearts.

Last night our school held its annual Lucky Hearts Banquet fundraiser. This is our school's biggest night in fundraising throughout the year, with a profit of close to 17K! Although we weren't very "Lucky" it was nice to get dressed up and have night out.

Don't we clean up well! Heath was thrilled to dress up...can't you tell! I swore I wouldn't make him wear a tie because I didn't want to hear about it all night!

Dawn and I all set to go.
I really can't explain this one! What is it with a bunch of guys that they can't take a decent picture! Of course some grabbing and groping was going on of some sort. It must be a guy thing!

Dawn don't kill me for this one...but I thought it was super cute! Being able to let loose for the night...although we both couldn't let loose too much. I had to work a double shift today and Youngblood's had a drive to pick up their new family member...a dog!

Isn't this what we did in high school??? Ok everyone make a silly face!

Cheers to another successful Lucky Hearts!

We finally got the men out on the dance floor...it didn't last long. Let me tell you my calves and feet paid for dancing in super high heels! What was I thinking! We had a super great night and were so appreciative for my parents for watching the boys all night, although we turned in around 11pm. We are such party animals! It was a great Valentine's Day!

{Happy Valentine's Day}

Happy Valentine's Day 2009.....

Taking pictures of the four of them is getting a lot harder than it use to be! There were lots of tears, fighting, and jumping off the couch during what was suppose to be some quick pictures! Quin wanted no part of the picture taking today so we had to bribe him with gummy bears...as you can tell from the no smile picture above but rather chewing it up!

Here he is showing off his dance moves. We swear he has quite the rhythm. We are not sure where that comes from!

Enough is Enough he has said! I think this was towards the end when he just couldn't take another snap!

Conner was all about getting his taken, then of course wants to see it right away.
We will be attending our annual Lucky Hearts Banquet tonight in hopes of winning 10K! It is a fun night and I especially like the dressing up part....Heath is not at all thrilled as I am! I will for sure have pictures to post! Happy Valentine's Day to all.....our love goes out to each and everyone of you! I blessed Heath with tickets to the MU/OU basketball game on March 4th! Heath gave me some bubble bath (like I have time for one of those), and a nice family picture frame because he knows my love of pictures!

19 Months Old.

I say it every time, but I can't believe how fast these 19 months have gone! We have to admit, Quin is our busiest child yet! I know more get a mess cleaned up and he is faster then a cat making another one. Just the other day, I was putting in a load of laundry I went to the kitchen and he had dumped the entire vacuum holder all over the floor! He is really starting to talk and has quite the cute personality. He has really loved the outside on the few nice days we have got to experience. He is still the happiest little boy!

Blogger Girls Day.

Yesterday "The Blogger Girls" , (Kim, Cassie, Dawn, and myself), set out for a day of pampering, Starbucks, and some shopping. We met in Columbia at the Riversong Spa first for a little pampering with some spa pedicures. It was so relaxing and heavenly!! I hadn't pampered my toes since we left for Mexico in October. I will admit I don't have the prettiest feet, but it's amazing how a little polish can do wonders! We then headed for lunch at the Bread Basket, one of my favorites! We ended the day at the mall with some shopping and of course a little java for our ride home. It was nice to have adult conversations with a little extra added bonuses!

Kim and Cassie enjoying the pampering of their pedicures! We are also getting our toes in order for our annual Lucky Hearts dinner and dance held on Valentine's Day for our school. It will be a fun night for sure!

Don't they look beautiful (my toes not my feet!) Once I arrived home I then of course spent 2 hours getting my house completely cleaned from top to bottom for the week while Heath was at a meeting with the boys. We then headed out for a family night and took the boys to see the movie, "Hotel for Dogs". It was very cute!

Holy Rosary Open House.

This week the boys school, Holy Rosary, celebrated Catholic Schools Week. Today the school held their annual Open House, followed by a soup supper tonight. Every other year the students are asked to participate in the Festival of Learning, which consists of a project of something that they are interested in.
We started the morning out in Preston's 1st grade classroom where they were learning about the different kinds of dinosaurs. The students were asked to draw a picture of what would happen if dinosaurs showed back up in our town, and then were asked to tell about it in front of the classroom. They also wrote a short autobiography on themselves with questions of things they liked. One of the questions listed was who are tyou most proud of. Preston was most proud of his dad because he can bake cookies. There was no mention at all of his mothers baking skills (keep the laughing to a minimum please), but Heath proved to me a couple of weeks ago that he can bake cookies from scratch. Heath swears that is probably the time that these autobiographies were written.

1st grade went all out and had several pieces of artwork, poems they had written, and school work displayed in and around the school. If you will notice above, Preston has stated that he wants to be a football player when he grows up....we are so proud (hence the sarcasm!).

Mr. Quin thought he was big stuff being able to sit by his big brother in his own school chair. He did not move and was thoroughly enthralled in what Preston was doing.

Gotta love his little smirk in this one thinking he was pretty big stuff!

Corby's day consisted of the library where he had computers and then we were then lead to PE class. I was beginning to think that they don't have any 3rd grade lessons on Thursday's with all the extra classes. Here he is with his buddy Dawson who is in his class.

While in PE, both Heath and I got to take our shot at "Elimination" as they called it, but we call it "Knock Out".

I have to admit that it came down to Corby, me, and the lady behind me. My son came out ahead and won the game. I will still say "I still got game"! :)

I was very proud of the boys on their projects this year. They both did almost the entire projects by themselves (with just a little assistance in the centering the letters). Kindergarten through second grade are presented with a participation ribbon. In 3rd grade they actually receive ribbons for 1st-3rd place. We were thrilled to see that Corby received a 1st place ribbon!

Preston made this person that looked like him who sat in his desk tonight.

The boys were very lucky to have most of their grandparents be able to attend the soup supper and open house tonight. We were very proud of both of them and makes us so happy that they attend such a wonderful school.

A Night Out.

I know I have fallen off the blog wagon for more than a week! Really it is because this time of year we really aren't on the go as much! There are no football games, outdoor photo opportunities, or really anything to blog about! Last night we had a night out with the Youngbloods' and the Wilson's. We went to our favorite place, The Pear Tree. I seriously stuffed myself so full that at 2am I paid for it! It is one of those places that you don't eat all day because you have to have their famous onion rings, the main meal, a couple of drinks in between, and then hold off for one of their divine desserts! Luckily Heath had two gift certificates and we walked away not paying the hefty price we usually do at the end of the meal.
I will have something to blog about tonight however! This week the boys are celebrating Catholic Schools Week. They have had week full of festivities and today was open house. I have captured some very good pictures and will have more to come tonight at the Open House.
