Prom.

Tonight was our high school's prom. Jacki works for me at the daycare and is my kids baby-sitter when we need one. She is so awesome and my kids love her! We set her up for prom with our nephew, JT. They seem to make a very nice couple and both looked rather classy!

It was funny, because neither one of them knew how to pose for the picture, so we had to help them out a little.

The stunning couple ready for prom.

Jacki has worked for me at the daycare almost 2 years and is such a good hard worker. She does anything that is asked of her and is even making the trip with us next month to a wedding to help corral the kids while Heath is in the wedding. I was honored to help Jacki put her make-up on for the special day!

JT with his siblings, Alicia and Kelly, and their friend Abby. I think they needed to give JT the final approval.

Sorry these aren't the greatest pictures but these were from the promenade.

Talent Show.

Here is Preston performing to Grandma's Chicken Soup. It was very cute!
Last night was the 31st Annual Holy Rosary Talent Show. Kindergarten and 2nd grade each performed an act in the show, and Corby also performed the the Tumbling Act. Corby and Preston have been taking tumbling for 2 years now and it has really improved their coordination!

I was very proud of the boys and they did a great job!

Playing Around.

Today was the most absolute beautiful day we have had thus far this spring season! It was in the high 70's and I am pretty sure that 95% of it has been spent outside! They boys were outside yesterday while I was on a shopping trip to St. Louis and they caught some major sun on their faces! I love when they get a little color to them so they don't look so pale and sickly from the long winter we have had!

Tonight we couldn't resist spending the rest of the day outside playing on the swing set, throwing the football, and listening to the sound of the lawnmower for the first time as Heath thought he needed to get a start on our yard (it takes 3 hours to complete! Of course we are looking at more possibilities of rain this week. We are however once again excited because our concrete was poured today on our driveway.

Well while we were outside tonight, I got some cute photos of the boys and tried to enhance them with my Photoshop. I am just in the beginning phases, but thought they turned out pretty good!

Quin's eyes have really turned to a bright blue.

He is loving the outside and of course the swing. He could spend hours upon hours swinging and of course smiling!

Corby showing me his tricks on the monkey bars.

If you could only imagine how fast I had to capture this one before they took off on me!

Just a swinging!

And finally the end and it always has to end in a wrestling match! Can you tell who won?

Quin is real close to his top two teeth getting ready to come down! Hopefully then, he will be able to start solids soon.

Mizzou Spring Game.

Before every game, the Tigers run down to the end zone and kneel and pray for Aaron O'Neil, a player that died a couple of years ago in practice before the start of the season to Bacterial Meningitis. This is their way to honor him. I couldn't resist getting this picture because it is quite moving before each game. He would have been a senior this year.
Our 2008 Mizzou football season kicked off today with the Black & Gold Game in Columbia. The weather was not the greatest, with it being quite cool and breezy. Luckily it did not rain though. It was a great start of the 2008 season with us having high hopes once again for our Tigers!

I was so excited today, because I got to try out my new camera lens I purchased! I thought I really got some great shots, so please be patient as I have posted several shots from today.

Heath and Conner looking up at the scoreboard to see our awesome Quarterback, #10 Chase Daniel. This will be his last season at Mizzou and we are hoping he ends it with a bang. He was recognized as one of the Top 4 Heisman Trophy candidates last year, so hopefully he will bringing it home this year!

Quinn and the girls made the trip to Columbia today, but Uncle Matt had to work.

Conner taking in all the crowd, and loved seeing Truman the Tiger and Marching Mizzou.

Grandy was once again in his prime with his grandkids and his Tigers!

We hadn't planned on meeting up with the Belt family, but we happened to run into them and they sat with us through the game. Andi got her face painted like a Tiger and gave Quin kisses and smudged most of her black paint on his face...didn't get a picture of that though.

Kyle even made his way down to sit with us and enjoy the game.

You couldn't tell by the looks of this picture, but Andi's little lips were quivering! It was suppose to be in the mid 60's today, but only made it into the low 50's. Let's say I dressed for the 60's, so I was a little chilled!

Quinn and Miss Delaney. Delaney didn't take part much in the festivities today, except for sleeping. At 7 weeks old, she didn't miss much. (Jessi looking pretty intense in the background).

The boys were a little disappointed today, because after the game they had high expectations of going down on the field and getting the players autographs like we have done in the past years. Well this year, the security guards informed us that nobody would be allowed on the field after the game. Luckily a couple of players from last year's winning season walked passed us and we asked (begged) them to sign our scrapbook from last season. This is Jason Ray one of the key players from last year. The Tigers also received their Cotton Bowl Championship Rings today.

One last photo of the day with Grandma and Grandy with all the grandkids before leaving the stadium until the start of the season in the fall. Hopefully the weather is a little warmer (I know we will be complaining that it is too hot!) Grandy then treated all of us to our famous hot spots, "The Berg" for supper. It was a great day and we are anticipating the 2008 football season.

9+ Months Old.

OK, so I'm a little behind posting Quin's 9 months old pics! Time just simply got away from me! Quin turned 9 months on the 9th of April! I have never been this behind getting his pictures taking professionally, so hopefully I will get that accomplished within the next week. You know because I would be the only one that would really know from the picture that I waited until closer to 10 months to get them taken!
Quin is as happy as ever and loves his Jumparoo! This is a must for babies! As you can tell from this picture, he is jumping so much that he couldn't get himself stopped.

He is still showing no signs whatsoever of wanting to crawl. He is laid back and pretty much just lays there. He could care less about rolling over, just as long as he is given his bottle. He can sit for long periods of time without fussing for anything.

I'm not real worried, because my kids (except Preston...I know that surprises some of you), were all late crawlers and walkers! Conner did not crawl until 11 months and then decided he could really care less about walking and didn't take off until 16 months! So....some of you are probably saying....enjoy it while you can!

It's Finally Here.

We finally have a sidewalk!!! Last week's weather put us another week behind on the guys pouring our concrete! Luckily this week we had some awesome spring weather which they were able to complete our first project...the sidewalk! Since they were calling for heavy rain today and tomorrow, they said they would have to wait and come back for the driveway and back patio the beginning of next week. Hopefully the weather cooperates once again! Now if I can only motivate Heath to finish the project with some much needed landscaping...I'm not going to push it!

Conner is loving this weather and loves the idea that he is able to drive the toy 4-wheeler without assistance this year! He pretty much doesn't go anywhere without his rubber boots. I've just learned to give up and let him where them...except of course to church!

Conner thinks he is pretty big stuff riding all by himself.

Off he goes!

Now Heath has another job of putting back our front steps.

Don't look at the awful grass! We have had so much rain, there hasn't been a chance to mow one time!

Delanie's Baptism.

Well we went from one church celebration to another this weekend. Today, Delaney Marie Faye was baptized. I was honored to be her Godmother along with Quinn and Matt's good friends from O'fallon, Matt and Jeannie Hanlon. Quinn and Jeannie were good friends in nursing school at Mizzou, and I also became friends with Jeannie while taking Anatomy. It's a long story, but Jeannie also stood up in both mine and Quinn's wedding. It was great to see them this weekend.

The Proud Godparents with Delaney.

It was a very special celebration and 3 other babies were also baptized.

Delaney was an angel and did not make a peep throughout the entire celebration.

Matt and Jeannie's girls, Claire and Ava decided they needed their pictures taken.

The Grandparents with the Ruhl Family. Chloe was actually sleeping in this picture. It wasn't that she didn't want to participate for once! :)

Kohler did such a good job holding Delaney and she had her eyes wide open for this shot! His shirt really brought out the blue in her eyes.

1st Communion.

On Saturday night, Corby made his 1st Communion. We were so proud of him and he looked so grown up! Thanks so much for my friend, Dawn, for capturing all the wonderful pictures since I wouldn't have been able to. After mass we then went and celebrated by going out to eat with our friends and family. Corby's good friend Parker also made his 1st Communion with him, along with his two classmates, Emilie and Delanie.

Before church trying to get them to cooperate for one picture.

All of the communicants got to bring up the gifts to the alter.

Corby receiving communion for the first time.

Receiving the blood of Christ.

Corby had never tasted wine before and told Heath that he liked it, and wanted to know if he could go back through the line to taste it again. (Only my child).

Receiving their certificates from Father Don.

Grandma and Grandy with Corby on his special day.

It is hard to believe that seven years ago we were celebrating his baptism and now onto his 1st Communion. We were very proud of him. It seems that Corby is left out on getting very much to post about in the blog, so I am glad to have a post that is dedicated to just him.

Grandma Barb also got to celebrate his special day.

They made these banners in their class that were placed on the pew.

Falling Behind!

I know, I know....I have heard it from several of you! Why haven't I posted as much lately??? Well the truth is, I really haven't had anything to post! Starting this weekend, I think we pretty much have filled up both Saturday's and Sunday's until middle of June! We have not 1 free weekend! I don't know what it will be like when they get older and are into everything possible!

Anyways, we are depressed here in Mid-MO! We have not seen spring like weather for days! We have only reached 70 degrees maybe one day. I have yet to get the kids outside at the daycare and we are all getting stir crazy! I swear my yard at the daycare today became a lake as much rain as we received. Tonight we received severe weather conditions, but luckily it passed over us! Ever since we were hit with the tornado a few years ago, we are all fearful and we have spent many nights as a family having a slumber party in the basement...not fun!

Well I decided since I really didn't have any recent pictures to post, that I would go back to my spring and summer pictures from several years ago. Now, let me remind you that my camera was not up to par, so the quality of the pictures is far from perfect (in my book!).

Too all my family in California, Texas, and Arizona....PLEASE SEND US SOME WARMER WEATHER SOON! Heath said for me to ask him that in the midst of July here in the Midwest with 115 heat index and 100% humidity! Until then....here are the pics! I promise, I won't be able to keep up the next few weeks with all my posts!

Yes, this is our Conner Bear at 5 months old! My how fast time flies!

Here is a picture of a bad mom roasting his brains at the pool! When Heath and I looked at this picture, we couldn't believe how chubby he was! You wouldn't know it today as lean and tall as he has gotten!

Heath and I don't take very many "good" pics! This was at one of our million weddings in 2005!

Summer sure means bringing out the famous Slip N Slide! I remember as a kid living on one of these at my cousins house and about breaking my tailbone!

We love to attend the Mark Twain Lake Rodeo each year with the boys! Let's say that I didn't enjoy it as much last year, since I was 7 days away from having Quin and I got stuck in a Port-A-Potty with the Stomach Flu!

Another fun in the sun picture!

Corby his first time out golfing! He and Preston have really taken a liking to golf (I think with Grandy's interest!). My dad just got back this week from the Master's Golf Practice Round and brought the boys a ball marker! You would have thought they won the lottery! They are excited to once again take golf lessons in May at our local golf course! I'm hoping that Heath and I will be able to join the course as well this summer and participate in their couples league.

Preston at 2 1/2 enjoying our dog Maisy. He was in the middle of getting over his virus at this time. It was a very long summer!

Love Our Baths.

It is nice now that Quin can sit up because, we can master bath time x 2! Although Conner thinks that he needs to be the one washing Quin's hair! Poor little Quin doesn't stand a chance when Conner is around. Hopefully Conner will continue to nurture and love him as much as he does now!

Conner in one of his famous choke-holds! As you can tell Quin is a pretty much go with the flow baby and could care less!

Loving the bath!

Spring has finally~ SPRUNG!

Today we finally got some much needed outside time and spring cleaning accomplished! We (OK, Heath), started up the lawnmower for the first time this season. Conner loves the lawnmower!

Last fall, Heath would have to give Conner a ride around the house on the lawnmower before they would come in from playing. He told Heath that he could go for a ride today because it wasn't raining or snowing.

We are pretty excited this week (if the rain holds off). We have lived in our house a year and a half and we are finally going to get our concrete poured! Heath had to take off the front steps in order for it to be completed. So now for all of those who visit us, you will be able to enter our front door on our sidewalks! I'm just glad I don't have to worry about the garage being immaculate constantly!

Conner thought this was his sign to get the shovel and help dig.

He's all about the outside and his rubber boots!

Corby and Preston enjoyed the outdoors by kicking the soccer ball back and forth. I'm hoping soon to be getting a zoom lens so I don't have to stand on top of them for action shots!

Preston thought it was so warm that he would bring out his summer attire with the sleeveless shirt. He then went shirtless because he told me he was hot (a famous phrase from Preston!)

Ruhl Family Visit.

Matt, Quinn, and the girls stopped by today on their way to a birthday party. It was ironic that both Quinn and I were dressed in pink and so was Delaney. A girl after my own heart! Delaney is growing very fast and was very much awake and alert....maybe because our house might be a touch rowdier than hers.

Dressed in our pink. I guess we are getting the spring itch for brighter colors to keep the winter away!

All the girls. Sydney and Chloe looked so cute in their dresses all ready for their birthday party.

Wide awake.

Uncle Matt taking it easy with the girls and a break from Conner. Conner had him play UNO and air hockey with him before he had to go.

Chloe just kicking back taking it easy.

Couldn't resist posting the looks of Conner.

He Shoots...He Scores
